20 Containers for UAE Stadium Formwork
Client: Major construction contractor, Dubai, UAE
The contractor required 20 containers of 18 mm film-faced plywood for concrete formwork on a large stadium project in Dubai. They needed consistent thickness tolerance, high reuse cycles and FSC certification for the project's green building requirements.
TouZhong sourced from a partner factory with imported continuous press lines and FSC certification. All panels were produced to ±0.5 mm thickness tolerance with ENF-grade adhesive. SGS pre-shipment inspection was arranged. Shipment departed from Qinzhou port on CIF Jebel Ali terms.
Panels achieved 60+ reuse cycles on the formwork, reducing the contractor's material cost by approximately 35% compared to locally sourced alternatives. Zero delamination reported. Repeat order placed within 3 months.
MR Plywood Supply for Saudi Interior Works
Client: Interior fit-out contractor, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
A Riyadh-based contractor needed 8 containers of 12 mm and 18 mm MR plywood for interior partitions and furniture carcasses across multiple residential projects. They required E1 emission class and consistent sanding quality for direct paint application.
TouZhong supplied E1-grade MR plywood from a partner factory with automated sanding lines. A mixed container combining 12 mm and 18 mm panels was arranged to optimise freight costs. Full test reports for formaldehyde emission were provided.
The contractor reported zero surface defects requiring rework. The mixed-container arrangement saved approximately USD 1,200 per shipment in freight costs. An ongoing supply agreement was established for quarterly orders.
Marine Plywood Export to European Boatyards
Client: Boat builder network, Netherlands & France
A group of European boatyards required BS 1088-grade marine plywood with PEFC certification for recreational boat construction. They needed okoume face veneers, phenolic WBP adhesive and consistent panel flatness.
TouZhong sourced okoume-faced marine plywood from a partner factory with PEFC chain-of-custody certification. Panels were produced to BS 1088 standard with WBP phenolic adhesive and subjected to 72-hour boil tests. Bureau Veritas inspection was arranged at origin.
All panels passed BV inspection. The boatyards reported excellent delamination resistance in wet conditions. PEFC documentation satisfied the buyers' sustainability requirements for EU public procurement projects.
Anti-Slip Plywood for GCC Truck Fleet
Client: Logistics company, UAE & Qatar
A regional logistics operator needed 12 mm anti-slip plywood for truck and trailer flooring across a fleet of 200 vehicles. Requirements included high wear resistance, weathering resistance and the ability to mix with film-faced panels in a single container.
TouZhong supplied wire-mesh anti-slip plywood with phenolic WBP adhesive, mixed with film-faced panels in 40HQ containers to maximise container utilisation. All panels were edge-sealed to prevent moisture ingress in outdoor storage conditions.
The anti-slip surface significantly reduced cargo movement incidents. The mixed-container arrangement reduced per-unit freight cost by 18%. The client placed a standing order for quarterly replenishment.
